The Star Wars series is based off
the original idea of good verse evil. The best example of the good verse evil
is when Luke becomes part of the fight against the empire. It’s all because the
Empire followed the droids that led the evil men to Luke’s Aunt and Uncle’s
house. When Luke returned to his house he realized that his family had been annihilated.
That was the moment when Luke Skywalker found something worth fighting for.
This was a great turning point in the movie and gave light to the “New Hope”.
This scene stood out to me because it shows that no matter what family is
something worth fighting for and so is freedom.
Luke is a determined young man and has experienced a lot of death in a
short period of time. This helped him get in tune with the force and to help
him believe in himself. Luke was then able with the help of a pilot rescue
Princess Leia and then fight with the rebellion and give them the upper hand
that they needed. The droids R2 D2 and C-3PO play an important role in this
movie. They are the reason that Darth Vader and the Empire found Luke and his
family. On the other hand they are also the reason that the rebellion had a
chance for freedom once again. Overall I
thought the movie was very interesting especially since I have never seen any
Star Wars before.
This scene was really interesting because it definitely showcases how important family is. This really shows that there is more to this than just intergalactic space nonsense. I am not, and never have been a fan of this series. I am not one to step in and follow the norms and I feel that most people enjoy this series because of the hype and fan base it has and those things are not at all important to me when it comes to watching a movie. I like watching series and things that elicit feelings. This is where I am conflicted. This particular scene allows me to feel the importance that they place on family and freedom, but still, I am not buying it.
ReplyDeleteAfter looking back at this movie I believe that the scene where Luke returns back to his village after they had realized that the empire had destroyed it. Earlier in the scene Ben had asked Luke to come and join him in the fight and Luke seemed like he wanted to go but he knew that he had to go back to his family. But as soon as he found out that his family had been killed he turned and said let’s do this He now had that sole reason to go and fight for his family.
