God and the Universe

In, The Universe - God and the Universe, they claim that science doesn’t have any relation to a “God.”  Firstly, they explain that since the beginning of mankind, humans believed there was a god that supplied them with what they have.  People believe that there is a god because life is too perfect and it could not occur from a random explosion of energy (Big Boom) 13.7 billion years ago. They begin to say that the earth is equivalent to just a grain of sand on all the beaches on the planet.  Scientists begin to wonder if there really was a god then why would he just put life here on earth.  Technology today isn’t advanced enough to venture deeper in the galaxy to explore possible planets that may contain lifeforms.  A physicist states that on a small scale that there has been evidence of small energy particles to form out of nothing and create energy and then disappear out of nowhere.  He believes this is kind of like how the big boom was but just on a much larger scale. He believes energy from nowhere expanded and then way later in time it will collapse on itself and be nothing again, how it was at the beginning of time. He also says that there is no heaven and that death is the end of life and then there is nothing, and uses an example that death is just like how humans were before they were born, nothing and non-existent.

  1. This show, while very enlightening, definitely aired on more of a realist view of life. We are constantly thirsting for more knowledge and more areas to explore. It is never enough for us to be content where we are. Is there no god because he put us on such a beautiful planet with lots of resources and countless life forms without giving us another planet with the same things just in case we ever need to leave. It seems a bit greedy.

  2. I honestly believe in God scientist make many arguments I'll admit. But I think of the little coincidental things we have. If our earth came from random big boom then why did land where it is in the realm of planets. It's been said that if our earth was just a little bit closer to the sun we would all burn and if it was just a little bit further away we would all freeze. I don't think that is a coincidence I think there was Something or Someone looking out for the earth when it came into existence. I definitely God is real the factor and creator of all these unexplainable things.
