I woke up in another galaxy

I remember the end. I remember how bright it was from the sun's radiation that had finally broken through our ozone layer, the safety blanket that had kept us earthlings safe for millions of years. I remember the mass evacuation of the human race. We were told that it would be a long journey and then we were put to sleep.
I woke up lying on my back on something hard. I had a white hospital gown on and it was itchy and uncomfortable. Above me was a white not at all exciting ceiling. I sat up slowly and looked around me. I was alone in a plain white room with a small table, a white bed, a window, and a closet that was empty. I walked over to the window and looked out. The sky was red and there were very obviously high winds that were blowing the dark sand around the air. Where am I? At that moment, there was a knock on the door and he walked in.

  1. I love that you added a book like twist to this post :) Giving it more edge and and a cool mystery to it! I also loved that you related living on mars from the posts to the post and a humans perspective on what it would be like if the world should end and we had to go to mars.

  2. Interesting post. I can see what you are looking at and I can feel the itchy hospital gown. It is very stark in this room in contrast to what is happening outside the window. You have built the level of fear and curiosity very well. Now I am wondering who is at the door.... great post!

  3. This was very interesting to read. You did a very good job giving detail and made me picture in my head what you were talking about. You make me wonder who could have been at the door? Once again I enjoyed reading this good detail and way to make me think.
