I went on history.com, the history
channels website, to watch all of the episodes of “The Universe.”
The episode I felt the most compelling was the one titled “It Fell
From Space.” I found this one compelling because I have always
wondered that because of the Earth's gravitational pull, and due to
the fact that objects in space probably don't stay there forever
where do they go? I have always been interested in space since I was
a little girl. I live in the middle of no where so you can see all of
the stars and constellations. I also went to Florida to visit the
Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral. It was amazing to be up close
to rockets that actually were in outer space! There was even a place
where you could sit inside replicas of the inside of rockets to see
how small some are. I am tiny so it was easy for me but my
grandparents had a hard time. Anyways back to the episode it
intrigued me because I have always wanted to see a piece of something
that has come out of space up close. The show discussed how it can be
very dangerous once an object comes into our atmosphere because it is
traveling so fast and a small piece could easily kill someone. It
showed a picture of an asteroid that went into a persons house. That
intrigued me because I don't know if my home insurance covers
asteroid damage. It was really interesting to watch this episode and
the other episodes and to think about the Universe in depth more. I
will admit I like that it was episodes instead of having to read it
because I found the episodes to be more exciting. I think it would be
cool to find an object that has fallen out of space.
