Vanna Bonta is a dedicated space advocate who came up with a great alternative to be intimate in space. Her invention isn't solely just about sex it's about intimacy in general and being close with your partner while being in space. Vanna calls her invention the "two suit". Basically two people two suits and the garments can unzip and attach to each other with velcro. She ran a little zero gravity test with the suit with her husband and was successful in connecting the garments and exchanging a kiss.
The subject of reproduction also came up. What I got out of that whole discussion was that experts needed to figure out how people and animals could properly be born in space and come back to earth. They did many tests on animals. Animals such as rats were pregnant and successfully gave birth in space. The babies appeared to be normal, but it was noted that if they brought the animals back to earth then the babies had problems. They couldn't do simple things like rolling from their back to their front. They were also concerned with the bones of the babies. Being in a weightless environment made the bones have less mass which is another reason the babies had trouble on earth.
I think the whole subject of sex, intimacy, and reproduction in space is really interesting and something I never thought of before. I think with the right tools and inventions experts can make this possible.

I think that you did a great job with your blog! I also like how you went out of your way to find that episode and also how you posted a link so that others can view it as well. It shows hard work which is needed for this class. I felt it was also interesting about the testing being done on sex/intimacy in space. The part where you discussed how rats were able to have babies in space was interesting as well and it makes sense that their bones had less mass and that they couldn't roll over because of the zero gravity. Overall I think you did a great job on your blog!
