Parallel Universe: A New Chance

If I was given the chance to live in a parallel universe, i'd want a few things to be different. Everyone wishes for things in their lives to be different from how they are. They wish for the world and life itself to perhaps give them a break or be fair for a change. In a way I can agree with this sentiment. I was born with a number of medical conditions, and some have been acquired after birth. In addition a few of my family members suffer from them as well. My one hope above all for how i'd want my life to be in a parallel universe would be for not only myself to be healthy, but my family as well. I'd want to be able to re live my childhood with sports and going outside to play and riding roller coasters if those things were available in that universe. I'd want my mom to be able to work and not be disabled, and to do what makes her happy. I'd want to be able to go out and enjoy whatever that universe had to offer without health restrictions. I realize that fate and god come into play with these things, but if I had the choice of how I wanted my life to be that would be it. In addition I wouldn't mind living in a parallel universe where one was able to love whom they wanted without being persecuted. I understand certain restrictions on that notion, but if I want to marry a man, it would be my wish in that universe i'd be able to. I'd love it if that universe had flying cars or even automobile spaceships for the public to fly. One of the things i'd love more than anything is if in that universe we could meet and interact with our dead loved ones. Now I am not saying that I wish to interact with corpses or have a zombie pow wow, but i'd like to actually have them with me. I also think getting to meet my ancestors in that universe would be pretty cool as well! It is not only a great way to learn your true heritage, but perhaps see where some traditions started. If the people that lived in the new universe weren't so money based, and instead used money for currency but cared more about the people, that would be lovely. A universe where politicians and those in power legitimately as a whole could come together for the good of the universe and keep to their promises made to the general public and not just the promise made to their millionaire benefactor to their re-election campaign. To live in a universe where heinous crimes like rape and unnecessary forms of murder did not exist. To live in a universe where people did not have to worry about leaving their house, for fear of crime or being hurt. My wish to be healthy prevails above the majority of these wishes for my new life in the parallel universe but the lack of crime, and a non money driven society would be nice as well.

  1. It certainly sounds like you have an ideal world. I really liked your post. If I had my wish, I would live in a universe where people are healthy and free of disease. Living in a world where you can get away from political irresponsibility would be a dream as well. I would not want to live in a perfect world though. We learn so much from our individual failures and success in our journey of life. Success and failure make you strong and resilient. Who would we be as human beings without these experiences?

  2. I am all for having a new universe where everyone is healthy. I take health very seriously, and this planet does not cater to healthy behaviors when you consider the increasing pressure to consume fatty foods and live a sedentary lifestyle. My ideal world would force everyone to get up and move! Safety, financial stability, political rationality would certainly be ideal, too. I appreciate how you thought of health as the number one thing you would factor into creating a new universe.
