In "Unexplained Mysteries," the scientists and authors describe how time travel can bring time paradoxes throughout time. They say if someone killed their grandfather, that person would not be born and therefore would not be able to go back in time in the first place. Also meeting your parents before you are born can be shocking as your parents would be positive they did not have a child yet and it could not be possible to be a grown human being.
There are a couple of games that play with time paradoxes. One of them is Final Fantasy XIII-3. You play as one of the protagonists' sister and her companion. They have to travel the time line in order to fix history so that they do not face a dark and dangerous future. However, every time the fix one paradox, another one pops up because two possible outcomes remain. The two people have to fix or get rid of each paradox in order for history to be "complete."
The second game is called Fire Emblem: Awakening. the main characters have to beat the barbarians in order to restore peace and reclaim their queen. However, after an assassination attempt on the heir's life a new character saves his life. When she removes the mask, she looks creepily similar to one of the main characters. You and the party now know that the mysterious savior is the heir's daughter. What? He isn't even married. She tells her father and your character that she is from the future to warn her father and his crew that there is more danger than they thought. Needless to say, the entire comrades-in-arms were shocked and in disbelief of this daughter, but started to believe when their own children started to join the army. It was very weird playing this game and unfortunately at the end, each of the children have to disappear or cause undue attention.
Time travel has always interested me because after living for twenty years, I have some regrets and events I would like to change. But I know if I did that, I would not have become the person I am and not have met the wonderful family I made at Mansfield.
Time travel is a mystery and will continue to be a mystery to human beings. I always wondered how amazing it would be to travel back in time to when our nation was first becoming utilized as a nation; to experience the ones who partook in the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Of course, if this were to occur, would it be possible for us to be present in the event without disrupting the event itself? I do agree with you about regrets. I believe that every human being has regrets. By having regrets, would you say that we have the ability to build new experiences from those regrets and also tell others that things happen for a reason?
ReplyDeleteI feel like the time travel part of the video was a bit far-fetched. Even if it ever is possible, how would this affect our lives? I believe everything happens for a reason and you do learn from your mistakes, or at least you should. Being able to just go back and change things would not be a good thing. People would learn that they don't have to be responsible or accountable for their actions. They will think its ok to act negatively because there wouldn't be consequences for their behavior. Going to Mars is one thing, but time travel that's another.
ReplyDeleteTime travel is a good thing to think about because it is a mystery to people and to myself. I do not understand how if will affect our lives? I think that going back and changing time can be good things and a bad things for people because it can cause good and bad things. Very good detail.
