Welcome To Year 2325

It’s year 2325 and you’ve just been reborn thanks to modern technology. With advancements so engaging, you can do nearly anything you could ever imagine. Social problems? There a thing of the past, but, honestly, like totally 200 years ago. As you are awaken from your reborn process, you are given a choice: return to your homeland on Earth or travel to Mars. What would you choose?  Personally, if I were given the opportunity to pack everything of importance and head to Mars, I’m not entirely sure I would. This is a question that most people have asked themselves at least once in their lives and something I’ve thought about in great detail. I would love to say that I’m spontaneous and that this incredible adventure would excite me to no end, but I think I would be lying. Living on a developing planet early in its experimental stage, traveling in small confinements, and an adjustment to an atmosphere that may harm me just doesn’t sound appealing. I think life on another planet is definitely something that I hope to see in my lifetime, especially for the benefit of others and life as we know it, but don’t put my name down on that list so fast. There is plenty of information that I’ll need before signing away for a ticket on the Galaxy 4000 Spaceship to Mars: how long will the ride be? Can I return? Will there be Internet? Can I bring my dog? Of course, there are some concerning questions I’d like to ask too, but let’s get the really important questions out of the way first.

  1. I would definitely choose to come back to earth. Earth would obviously be my comfort zone and I would have more of an idea of what I was getting myself into verses going to Mars. Would there be aliens? Would I make friends fast? Would I be alone? So many questions would be running through my head and I'd be really scared to go. As you mentioned it could take a long time and at some point I would be back in the Earth. I don't think I would be brave enough to risk it. I'm certain I would stick to what I know.
