Growing up you hear about people wanting to go to space, wanting to become astronauts, wanting to go and explore the great unknown. This is something that never really suited my fancy. I enjoy looking up and seeing the beautiful stars glistening, the moon shining in it's greatness, but to go to space? Space is not a place for this girl. The 'Universe' videos are incredibly intriguing. They pose many questions and really get you thinking. For me however, I enjoy the beauty in the unknown.
Looking up at the beautiful sky in it's infinite glory, is something that I prefer doing with my feet planted firmly to the ground. I don't plan on ever going to space, even if it was as easy as hopping on a quick shuttle that's tethered to the Earth. I suppose being able to travel freely from Earth to space would be appealing to most people, but certainly not to me. Like previously mentioned, I enjoy the beauty in the unknown.
The unknown, the universe, are all unique for things that we don't even know. We see the stars, we see the moon, we even see the occasional planet, but those are all beautiful to me from a distance. I don't want to know what life is out there, what plants are out there or if there even are such things. I enjoy being able to wonder and speculate about what it's like out there. For me, it's one of the last things that we don't actually know. This more so than any space travel, or even science in itself is what I thrive on.
Firstly, I’d like to say that I agree with you that I too enjoy the beauty in the unknown. I feel as though we humans are curious by nature and want to know how space and time were created. Some people believe that the existence of humans came to be from a certain God or a larger than life creator. On the other hand, there are people that believe in modern science and theories from physicists that all matter came from the big boom 13.7 billion years ago. But as of now nobody really knows the truth and falls under what you truly believe in. I for one like how there is no correct answer and simply leaves us to wonder.
ReplyDeleteJust from looking up at the unknown from the ground is amazing. I believe that this is something that would be very interesting and amazing to see but at the same tie I wouldn't want being that it is unknown. As I was a kid it was a big thing for us to be going to the moon but twenty years later now we are talking about the possibility of eventually putting people on mars. After watching these episodes it makes me want to go and learn more about what is going on and how much we actually know about space and everything in it.
