Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is an impressive novel written by J.K Rowling.
Throughout the first book of this delightful fantasy series, Rowling is able to
guide the reader into each character’s personalities. Although Harry Potter
himself has several endearing qualities, Ron Weasley is equally as important.
When Harry first meets Ron, he lacks confidence and is overshadowed by his five
brothers that precede him at Hogwarts. Ron is smarter than he gives himself
credit for and he is a best friend to Harry. Ron’s loyalty to Harry allows him
to develop self-confidence. He rises above on several occasions to eventually
become the hero of the first book in Rowling’s fantastic series. Without Ron’s
loyal personality, he would not have learned enough about himself to become a
hero.
J.K. Rowling does wonders in her Harry Potter Series. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is an exciting and mysterious novel that catches the attention of readers no matter what age. I like how you chose Ron for your paper. Ron has had quite the upbringing and is a down-to-earth boy. Roy provides devoted loyalty to Harry and doesn't care that he is the boy who lived. Do you think Ron and Harry have any similarities? Ron likes to play chess. Do you think there is a symbolic meaning behind Ron's chess playing? Because Ron is the youngest child, do you think he is more of an introvert or an extrovert?
ReplyDeleteI think Ron and Harry have a lot in common. I have actually put that in my paper. I think Ron is mostly an introvert but gains self- confidence by the end of the book and gets a little more extroverted just like Harry.
DeleteI like your thesis. I often think that the "side kick" or "bestfriend" characters in any book or movie get little credit for how they helped the main character. Just like how you mentioned with Ron. I also think of Lord of the Rings. I feel that Sam doesn't get enough credit for how he looked out for Frodo and stuck with him the entire series. Seriously, if it wasn't for Sam Frodo would've never completed his journey. I like that you are focusing your essay on the "behind the scenes" friend
ReplyDeleteThanks, I really liked Ron and Hagrid.
DeleteI like what you have written so far. I think Ron is a great character to choose and he really does deserve more credit than he gets. I think Christine has a great point to with the Lord of the Rings reference as well but everything looks good in your intro in my opinion
ReplyDeleteThanks.I am not familiar with Lord of the rings but I really liked Ron in Harry Potter.
