Ordinary to Extraordinary
J.K. Rowling created so many great characters that are each in there own way unique and important. Harry Potter even from infancy had to overcome traumatizing circumstances when his parents were killed and he survived with no loving family to take care of him as their own. Harry may not have the brilliance of his good friend Hermione Granger, But because Harry has determination, and most importantly loyal friends, Harry is able to become a great wizard and not fall short of everyone's expectations. One of Harry's greatest traits is his extraordinary courage that we see grow through out the story.

I like that you mention that Harry had to overcome trauma as an infant and then be raised without a loving family. We do see his courage develop when he is at Hogwarts. I agree that finally belonging somewhere and having loyal friends helps him a lot. I thought the same thing and so chose Ron and his loyalty to Harry for my paper. Your paragraph is very interesting and catches the reader’s attention. Your title is great. It sums up Harry’s life and also the lives of Ron and Hermoine.
ReplyDeleteIn your thesis statement you say that Harry has great determination and has loyal friends. This in my eyes is a great thing to have in life, in life you may have a lot of qualities to be able to accomplish things but if you lacking determination or don’t have close friends you’re not going to be able to excel. Be able to have these two things is key. I think it’s awesome how Harry was able to push through with not having his parents around and being able to excel the way that he did. Also overall I think that J.K. Rowling is able to portray characters in a very special way throughout her book.
