From what we've covered so far I've been most intrigued by Ree from Winter's bone because I really felt like I related to her a lot. Many of the things she does or says I can see myself doing as well.
She's an introvert. I see that her creativeness and concentration really help her to acquire knowledge. I also think her willingness to do anything for her family really helps her thought process and a way of grasping things because her family is definitely one thing that's always on her mind and keeps her going. She's loyal and trustworthy,She starts out very quiet but realizes she isn't so quiet when it comes to her family's survival
Ree's character is one that I enjoy very much because she is so though. At age 17 she should never have as many responsibilities as she does but she never once feels bad for herself. She needs strength for not only herself but for her siblings and mother. I believe her stubbornness is her best quality where for others it would be a downfall.
ReplyDeleteI found that I couldn't, for myself, really place myself in her shoes as much with certain things just because she is more hard working in the aspect of hunting and chopping wood and her tough demeanor. I myself work hard but I work in retail so I couldn't place myself in the woods at 17 years old teaching my younger siblings how to hunt when they are around 7 years old. But also I do have the same drive as Ree to protect my family. I feel you have a strong thesis and by being able to put yourself in Ree's shoes I think will help with your essay!
