Reflection

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was a wonderful novel. J.K Rowling did a great job making the characters' personalities, different, but when it mattered they all came together. I don’t know if anyone picked up on this, but all three of the main characters' personalities have changed over the length of the novel. Harry Potter started out by being very timid and being picked on up until he was eleven years old. He was living with his aunt and uncle who wanted nothing to do with him.  Also their son Dudley would use harry as his own personal punching bag. Then Harry went to Hogwarts and was famous, because he was the one Potter that survived. Harry turned adventurous by   standing up to bullies and fighting dragons. He even stood up to valtamore, who was the one that killed his parents. Hermione was a know it all when she first got to Hogwarts. She really had that attitude that she was better than everyone else. Over the novel, she changed to a more caring person, who at one point in the novel told a lie to save Ron and Harry from getting in trouble.  Ron seemed to be a mommy’s boy at the start of his introduction of the novel. Over time his independence from his family had grown. I feel as he put more of an importance of his friendship as the novel went. It was great to see how J.K. Rowling made all the characters grow and along with that came personality changes.

  1. I also caught on to how the characters changed throughout the story. It was really cool to me to see how they grow throughout the story. I think your intro is really good but just don't forget to underline the thesis so it can be identified.
